Jason Myles Clark

Jason M. Clark is Executive Vice President for the New York State Development Corporation (ESD) and Executive Director of the NYS Division of Minority & Women’s Business Development (DMWBD). DMWBD is home to the highest minority and women-owned business utilization rate in the country. Prior to joining the ESD, Jason was Executive Director at Tech:NYC, where he prioritized reducing the digital divide and building a tech ecosystem that works for all New Yorkers. Before to that, he was a civil litigation partner at Hamilton Clarke, LLP. Jason is also a former assistant attorney general. At the Office of the New York State Attorney General, Jason brought legal actions on behalf of low-income New Yorkers in pressing need of legal services

Jason is founder of DREAMChasers, a nonprofit organization that helps students from underrepresented backgrounds attend New York City’s specialized high schools. From 2018 to 2020, Jason served as President of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, the largest association of Black attorneys in New York. Jason is a Southeast Queens native who brings to ESD a wealth of experience expanding opportunity for New Yorkers. He is a proud graduate of Princeton University and the University of Michigan Law School, and a firm believer in public service.
